Editor Review : Oar mass meeting for appoiotnient of delegates' to State and Congressional Con vention assembled in the court house this day at 12 o'clock. It was a large meet ing and an harmonious one. You will see from proceedings that the delegates were instructed to vote for Maj. CM. S ted man as onr Congressional standard-bearer. ' Never was higher compliment paid to mian by the people of Columbus county. ' The prominent men in the party were afion the record as opposed to instruc tions, and nothing tut the sterling worth of tho Major, and the further fact that they believed that Judge McKoy had permitted his name to be unworthily used to f'efeak his nomination, caused the in structions. Should Major Stedman be nominated at Fayetteville. yoi may count on Columbus county for 800 majority. lours respectfully, : Yeoman. Kew Ad vertisementB. A Card. EBOF.
